Thummalapalle

Thummalapalle (Tummalapalli) is a village in Nandivada mandal of Krishna District in Andhra Pradesh state in southern India.
The village is in the Krishna River delta. Its economy depends primarily on paddy-based agriculture. Thummalapalle has a population of over one thousand people. Neighboring villages are Nandivada, Vennanapudi and Ramapuram.
Thummalapalle has two primary schools, including one of the oldest primary schools in the region, set up 100 years ago by charity of the local landlords and missionaries. The village is now in transition due to continued migration of farming families to cities.
