USA-83
USA-83, also known as GPS IIA-5, GPS II-14 and GPS SVN-26, is an American navigation satellite which forms part of the Global Positioning System. It was the fifth of nineteen Block IIA GPS satellites to be launched. USA-83 was launched at 09:20:01 UTC on 7 July 1992, atop a Delta II carrier rocket, flight number D211, flying in the 7925-9.5 configuration. The launch took place from Launch Complex 17B at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, and placed USA-83 into a transfer orbit. The satellite raised itself into medium Earth orbit using a Star-37XFP apogee motor. On 6 August 1992, USA-83 was in an orbit with a perigee of , an apogee of , a period of 717.92 minutes, and 55 degrees of inclination to the equator. It has PRN 26, and operates in slot 2 of plane F of the GPS constellation. The satellite has a mass of .
