Uchalan
Uchalan is a village which located at south of Burdwan (Barddhaman) district on Arambagh-Burdwan high way in West Bengal state, India. ==Demographics== India census uchalan had a population of 6806. Males constitute 58% of the population and females 42%. Uchalan has an average literacy rate of 76%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 69%. In uchalan, 10% of the population is under 10 years of age. Uchalan is a historical village, where a remain of Mughal Battle is found. A large man-made lake is also here in Uchalan which is dug by King Sher Sah in the period of Mughal emperor in India. Uchalan is a vast and developing village where a Higher Secondary School, two govt. recognize primary School and two public school for primary education, and one sub-post office, two bank, one petrol pump, seventeen rice mill, one animal health center, one govt. circle office, and one govt. sponsored library is located.
