Usmanpura is an affluent suburban locality on the banks of the
Sabarmati River in

India. 'Usmanpura' name made from name of Saiyed Usman (r.a), his tomb located next to Usmanpura garden, famous religious tomb frequented by the city's all religion people. Usmanpura is an important landmark on the cultural map of India as it houses Darpan Academy, run by Mallika Sarabhai, one of the most famous exponents of classical dancing in India.
