Uthimoodu is a village in the Pathanamthitta District of Kerala, in India.〔(Indira Awaas Yojana )〕 Uthimoodu is located on the main eastern State Highway SH-08 / Punalur-Pathanamthitta-Muvattupuzha Road). There was an Uthi tree. The area around the present Uthimoodu was dense forest before the establishment of human settlements.The pioneering families were Mannil,Kalayil, and Thoppil followed by Puliyodil, Thekkepurayil(Olickel), Thengumkuttathil(Suresh Bhavan),Mankuthil Pampakottu,Manappurathu, Maruthickal and Korattikkara.
