V is an energy drink brand produced by (Frucor Beverages Ltd ), a New Zealand-based manufacturer and marketer of innovative beverages. V was launched in Methven New Zealand in August 1997, and in Australia and South Africa in 1999. The product's success - a market share over 60% in New Zealand〔 〕 and 42% in Australia, makes it the most popular brand of energy drink in both countries. Manufactured in New Zealand and Australia, originally available in six different varieties and two standard size packages, the 250ml cans, 350ml glass bottles were supplemented with limited edition 300 ml aluminium bottles. V has recently become available in 500ml cans, 500ml PET plastic bottles, and 710ml cans.
