It is located just next to Dindi Dam, a tributary of Krishna River. It is exactly in between Hyderabad and Srisailam on the highway. It has an electrical substation and a rice mill on the outskirts. The main source of income is agriculture. The main crops include rice, peanuts, castor, cotton and other fruits and vegetables. The government high school in this village is very famous and has produced many engineers, officers, teachers, etc. so far. Major source of irrigation is from groundwater. Village has a medium-sized irrigation tank but rarely fed in the events of good rain fall. Village economy has boosted from the advent and proliferation of borewells.
