Vistek
Vistek is a Canadian photo retailer that serves the professional, prosumer and consumer photographic markets. Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Vistek currently operates in Canada through six retail stores: the main store in Toronto, two stores in Calgary, one in Edmonton, one in Mississauga and one in Ottawa. Vistek Ltd. is a privately held company.
== History ==
Vistek (derived from the company's slogan, "The Visual Technology Experts") began its operations in 1976 as a studio rental and strobe lighting consulting business operated as a sideline by Toronto commercial photographer Ron Silverstein. Other products followed and the sales and rentals business grew. The business evolved into one that supplied equipment for commercial photographers in the Toronto area. In addition to professional photo and video equipment, Vistek carries amateur photo equipment and consumables.
