Viswanathapuram
Viswanathapuram is a Greenish village situated in between Aduthurai to Thiruppanandal, under Thiruvidaimarudur Taluk at Tanjore district. As most of people depends on agriculture ,this place is surrounded by greenish fields throughout year cultivating rice, banana, sugarcane, and cotton using Cauvery water river irrigation.〔(Thiruvidaimarudur )〕

Nearby villages like Idayanallur, Ilaganallur, Karprian kurichi, Nedunthidal, Manikkudi and Thiruloki are surrounded places around Viswanathapuram. One place Thiruloki is treated as historical, where Chola kings has ruled in the name of Thirai loki for Revenue collection(Tamil Name Thirai), this practice is still followed through Thiruppananathal Siva Mutt. The Wife of Raja Raja Chola I named 'Thirailokkiya Madevi' belongs to this place and is referred to as ‘Thirailokkiya Madevi Chathurvedi mangalam’ in inscriptions, later as Thiruloki.
This village comes under Thiruvidaimarudur legislative assembly and Mayiladuthurai Parliamentary constitution with population of 250 people around 0.5 square kilometer area(As on 2013). Thiruppanandal and Aduthurai are two minor commercial places and Kumbakonam is a major commercial place. The facilities like lightings, drinking, and roads are developed but transports is not yet developed efficiently.
