VMedia is a Toronto-based telecommunications company, offering television, telephone and internet connectivity services in Ontario. It operates as a fully licensed BDU (broadcasting distribution undertaking), under the auspices of the CRTC, offering a unique entertainment portal that combines traditional subscription television service with access to internet-delivered content. VMedia officially launched on March 26, 2013, and is currently available only in select areas of Southern Ontario as well as the Greater Toronto Area. VMedia is the first to offer "pick-a-pack" and "A-la-Carte" channel selections to Canada, known as UChoose. Known physical retailers are CanadaComputers 〔http://www.canadacomputers.com/vmedia/〕 and Robust Computers 〔http://www.robustcomputers.com/iptv.html〕 VBox runs Android 4.0 and has 1 GB of DDR3 RAM. It has one Ethernet input, two USB inputs, one HDMI output, and an analog output via conversion cables. VMedia launched its VCloudTV network PVR, Canada’s first cloud-based TV distribution technology, on April 3, 2014. It allows VMedia TV customers to record and enjoy their favourite TV shows without any additional hardware.
