WABX
WABX is a radio station in Evansville, Indiana, owned by Duey Wright, through licensee Midwest Communications, Inc. The station, which broadcasts at 107.5 FM, has aired a classic rock format since 1997. Monday through Saturday morning, WABX airs The Big Show with John Boy and Billy. Personalities include: Dodger, 9am-2pm; Sean Roberts, Afternoons 2pm-7pm; Steven Kelly, Evenings 7pm-9pm; Dodger, Weekends; and "Nights with Alice Cooper", Monday - Friday 9pm-2am, Saturdays 7p-Midnight. WABX features contests and does several appearances throughout the Tri-state area (IN, KY, and IL); they are involved with the community and charitable organizations. 107.5 WABX plays classic rock from the late 60s, the 70s, the 80s, selected rock of the 90s and today, featuring artists like Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Aerosmith, Rush, Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, AC/DC, Boston, ZZ Top, Bad Company, Ozzy Osbourne, Styx, Pink Floyd, and more. ==Former WABX== (詳細はcall sign of a widely influential freeform/progressive rock radio station in Detroit, Michigan. In 1985, WABX's former consultant, Paul Christy, purchased WCFX-FM 95.3 in Clare, Michigan, and subsequently parked the WABX calls on WCFX's sister station, 990 AM. WABX/990 ceased operations in 1988. The current 107.5 WABX logo is substantially similar to the Detroit WABX logo used during that station's 1970s' heyday. The former Detroit WABX now broadcasts a country format as WYCD.
