WINK-FM
WINK-FM (96.9 FM) is a radio station broadcasting an adult contemporary format. Licensed to Fort Myers, Florida, USA, the station is owned by the Fort Myers Broadcasting Company (which is controlled by the McBride family). WINK-FM has studios located on Palm Beach Boulevard (a.k.a. S.R. 80) in Fort Myers. Its transmitter is located north of Fort Myers Shores near the Lee and Charlotte County line in Punta Gorda. Its location and transmitter power enables the station to be clearly heard as far north as Hardee County and as far east as Okeechobee County. ==History== On May 6, 2013, at 10am, after promoting that morning that "WINK-FM will be a thing of the past", WINK-FM changed their format from hot adult contemporary to adult contemporary, branded as "96.9 More FM".〔http://radioinsight.com/blog/headlines/81933/wink-fm-fort-myers-becomes-more-fm/〕 The first songs on More-FM were Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" and Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble". In October 2015, it went back to 96.9 WINK FM branding and its format stayed adult contemporary.
