WKAZ-FM

WKAZ-FM is a Variety (radio) formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Miami, West Virginia, serving Metro Charleston. WKAZ-FM is owned and operated by West Virginia Radio Corporation. WKAZ broadcasts in HD.〔http://hdradio.com/station_guides/widget.php?id=61〕
==History==
The West Virginia Radio Corporation purchased WKAZ-FM and WSWW-AM in 1995. In 2006, WKAZ flipped from Oldies to Adult Hits under the "Jack FM" branding, using the ABC Radio satellite feed. In March 2007, WKAZ-FM restored the previous oldies format using Tom Kent's "Classic Top 40" branding. It positioned itself as "107.3 WKAZ-FM, Classic Top 40".
On April 25, 2011 WKAZ-FM changed their format to classic rock, branded as "107.3 K-Rock".
On August 8, 2014, after stunting for a day with patriotic-themed songs, WKAZ-FM rebranded itself as "Tailgate 107.3," using a "no rules" ''very'' broad variety hits format, technically bringing the Variety Hits format to Charleston on the frequency that originally carried it. Tailgate's format seems to be a combination of CHR, Country, Rock, and Classic Hits. A sample hour include such artists such as Brad Paisley, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Rage Against The Machine.〔http://radioinsight.com/blog/headlines/89689/tailgate-brings-party-to-charleston-wv/〕
