==History==
The founders/owners of WPCF-FM 100.1 were Charles K. And Carlie B. Winstanley. Winstanley also owned WYLA-FM 94.7 & WYLK-FM 104.7 New Orleans North Shore. In 1965 Winstanley was the founder/owner of WQXY-FM 100.7 Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He sold WQXY-FM to Allison Kolb of Gulf Union Corporation and moved his headquarters to Florida.
The station was assigned the call letters WPCF-FM on 1987-12-03. On 2000-03-10, the station changed its call sign to WQJM and again on 2002-06-25 to the current WVVE.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=WVVE Call Sign History )
On April 15, 2014, at 10AM, WVVE dropped its Hot AC format and began stunting with a loop of the song ''Let's Groove'' by Earth, Wind & Fire. The station and its website were promoting that on the 17th, at 10AM, "Panama City will find its groove". The station flipped at that time to Rhythmic Oldies as ''Groove 100.1''. The first song on Groove 100.1 was ''Fantastic Voyage'' by Lakeside. The new Facebook page for the station promotes Groove 100.1 as "Feel good old school from the 70s, 80s, and 90s".
