WYNL
WYNL-FM (94.5 FM, "New Life 94.5") is an American broadcast radio station licensed to serve the community of Dunbar, West Virginia. It airs a contemporary Christian music format to the Charleston, West Virginia, radio market. The station is owned by Bristol Broadcasting Company, Inc. ==History== The station was established in early 1988 as WBES and began licensed broadcasting in October 1988 as WBES-FM. The new station played beautiful music. In March 2001, the call sign changed to WZJO and the station adopted a Jammin Oldies format. In 2003, the format shifted to active rock as Z-ROCK. On November 1, 2009, the station began airing continuous Christmas themed music, renaming themselves “Christmas 94.5”. The theme continued until January 1, 2010, at which time the station departed from the Z-ROCK name and genre and switched to news-talk, simulcasting WVTS (950 AM). A few days later, the call sign changed to WVTS-FM. The station changed to the current WYNL call sign on March 15, 2015. ==References==
