Wadhwa or Wadhwani is a clan who either belong to Arora caste, a warrior tribe from the northern Indian subcontinent or from the Rann of Kucch, in present day Gujarat. Most of the Arora clan are believed to be a part of Khukhrain Katris, and are generally rich. As administrators and rulers, Kshatriyas were assigned with protecting dharma, and serving humanity and the world. Over time, as a result of economic and political exigencies, the Khatri also expanded into other occupations. The Wadhwa surname came originally from the areas of the Salt Range and particularly the town of Bhera in Punjab. This area was the Sind Sagar Doab (Indus-Jhelum interfluve) and the Jech Doab (Jhelum-Chenab interfluve) region of Pakistan that comprised Khushab, Pindi Gheb, Talagang, Chakwal, Pind Dadan Khan, Peshawar and Nowshera. The other group, from the extreme region of the Rann of Kucch, is also from a Kshatriya warrior clan who may, in the present day, be in administration, commerce and trade. They are extremely influential and live in India and western countries. In India they are known to live in Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi. Abroad, they are found in the UK, UAE, USA and Belgium and a few other European countries. They practice Hinduism and are strict vegetarians. Wadhwas are also associated with Khukhrain Arora group which are believed to have branched out of Sethi clan. Sethis are believed to be one of the bravest clans of Khatris. The clan was developed as warriors and defenders of their land and they have also been in civil, government and military administration roles for centuries. They have also expanded into trade and mercantile businesses. ==Notable people== * Romesh Wadhwani, billionaire entrepreneur * Vivek Wadhwa, entrepreneur * Mahendra Lal Wadhwa * Silvia Wadhwa *Oshima wadhwa *Sparsh wadhwa 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Wadhwa」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
