Wamashrahu (Quechua ''rahu'' snow, ice, mountain with snow,〔(babylon.com )〕 hispanicized spellings ''Huamashraju, Wamashraju'') or Yanawaqra (Quechua ''yana'' black, waqra horn, "black horn", hispanicized ''Yanahuacra'')〔Nill Neate, Mountaineering in the Andes: Huamashraju (Yanahuacra) 5434m〕 is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about high. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Huaraz District. Wamashrahu lies east of the town Huaraz (Waras), west of the Wantsan and northwest of the Shaqsha and the Kashan.
