Waxahatchee is an American indie music project, formed in 2010 by the American singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield. The band is named after Waxahatchee Creek, in Alabama. ==History== While still a member of P.S. Eliot, a band formed with her twin sister Allison, Crutchfield released her first music as Waxahatchee as a split cassette with Chris Clavin on Plan-It-X Records.
