Yaperla
Yaparla or Yaperla, located on the banks of the River Krishna, is one of the 27 villages of Pebbair Mandal in Mahabubnagar district, Telangana, India. ==Community== It is a village relocated to a new current location from its previous(ancient) location that was submerged in the River Krishna, during the early 1980s, with construction of The Srisailam project towards South. Until the 1980s the living was a Golden Era for the villagers. It was a great prominent Agricultural trade market and also a connecting point between two regions Rayalaseema and Nijams(which now called as Telangana). The trading of Rice was very popular here and it is said that the brand Kurnool Rice has initially emerged from this place. But later after the National Highway #7 is laid the market has slowly moved to other towns like Kurnool and Pebbair. Also it is said that farmers who have benefited from the government as the compensation for the loss of land here are underpaid and forcefully made to evacuate from their ancient village. The village got a new look with decent plotting of streets, constructions, facilities. But the fate of the villagers has changed with the most of its fertile land(Black soil) being submerged and the villagers are left with either the sandy soil or infertile soil. Lack of knowledge to manage the money received as compensation also affected the lives of the farmers. Most of the farmers in the village now are left with huge debts and struggling hard to survive. Not a single farmer in the village is capable to own a pair of Bullocks now, once who used to have three to four pairs.
