antimaidan
The Anti-Maidan was a wave of the pro-government demonstrations in Ukraine during the course of the Euromaidan movement. These demonstrations supported the Second Azarov Government, President Victor Yanukovych, and closer ties with Russia.
After the success of Euromaidan, which resulted in the 2014 Ukrainian revolution, many of those who had participated in the Anti-Maidan, especially those in Eastern and Southern Ukraine, began to protest in opposition to the transitional government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk, resulting in the 2014 pro-Russian unrest in Ukraine.
