galanterie : ウィキペディア英語版
galanterie
In the Baroque dance suite, the フランス語:galanteries are pieces in the suite which are not "necessary" to the suite (unlike an allemande, gigue etc.) but are included to break up the suite and offer the chance to perform less familiar pieces. These movements usually follow the sarabande.〔(The Baroque Suite )〕

Examples of common galanteries include:

* Air
* Bourrée
* Gavotte
* Minuet
* Chaconne
* Passacaglia
* Passepied〔(The baroque Suite – Basic Information ), musicteachers.co.uk (Microsoft Word document)〕
==See also==

*Galant
*Galante music
*Sonatas and partitas for solo violin (Bach)
