homeroom

Homeroom or advisory is the classroom session in which a teacher records attendance and makes announcements. It can also be called Registration or Planning Period. The concept is used in schools around the world.
==Afghanistan==
In Afghanistan home room concept ( نگران) is widely used in the schools. The home room teacher is responsible for almost everything concerning his class. At the start of the school year, it's the homeroom teacher's responsibility to make sure that everyone of his or her students get school stuff (like book, notebooks) that are provided by government. At the very start of school day the teacher records the attendance of his students on a particular paper, because having absence and presence days in the report card is compulsory.
