singijeon

''Singijeon'' or ''shinkichon'' (''magical machine arrows'') was a type of Korean (Joseon) fire arrow rocket, used during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897). Multiple ''singijeon'' could be launched by ''hwacha'' (multiple rocket launcher).
==History==
During the late 14th century, in order to gain ascendancy at sea against Japanese pirates (''wokou'', also ''kaizoku'' or ''wako''), fire arrows called ''hwajeon'' or ''hwajon'' were used, which were the predecessor of the ''singijeon''.〔(Fifty Wonders of Korea, Volume 2, Korean Spirit and Culture Series, Authors
