In Portuguese, Ã/ã represents a nasal near-open central vowel, (:ɐ) (its exact height varies from near-open to mid according to dialect). The combination represents the diphthong in most dialects ( in Brazil's RS, SC, PR, SP, MS and among ''caipira'' speakers), and represents in most dialects ( in Brazil's RS, SC, PR, SP, MS and among ''caipira'' speakers, while in hinterland European northern dialects of Portuguese it represents and in some reintegrationist Galician orthographies it may represent ). In Vietnamese, it represents in a high breaking-rising tone. This also used in !Xóõ.
