Vienna: C. Kr. Dvorna in Državna Tiskarna, p. 108.〕 (ドイツ語:Sankt Paul)〔〔) is a settlement in the hills southeast of the capital Ljubljana in central Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Ljubljana. It was part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.〔(Ljubljana municipal site )〕 ==Name== Šentpavel is named for the local church, dedicated to Saint Paul. The settlement is also known as ''Šempav'' in the local dialect (resulting in the demonym ''Šempavec'' and the adjective ''šempavski'').〔Savnik, Roman, ed. 1971. Ljubljana: Državna založba Slovenije, p. 367.〕 The name of the settlement was changed from ''Šent Pavel'' to ''Šentpavel'' in 1955.〔''Spremembe naselij 1948–95''. 1996. Database.
